What are cryptocurrency derivatives (CDs)?
Cryptocurrency derivatives (CDs) are any type of derivative contracts whose underlying asset is a digital asset like BTC or BNB. CDs are an umbrella term for a wide variety of peer-to-peer contracts “derived” from the actual digital asset. Examples include futures contracts for the BTC-CNY market, options, perpetuals and even synthetics. CDs have so many more types of contracts yet to be explored which is one reason why we believe that CDs will become the next trillion dollar market!
